The Swamp (South Florida~2008)

Florida, south of Lake Okeechobee, should not exist as we currently know it. At one time it was Everglade or Swamp, a wild land of slow moving water. Historically it has been riddled with scandal and mismanagement. It is a land of dreams both realized and broken. Visionaries migrate south where their grandiose ideas can be realized, Walt Disney being one of the most salient examples. Individuals seemed to have a grudge against this un-compliant landscape, attempting until death to tame and dominate it.
